About me
Fernando Garcia Valenzuela (he/him) is the Head of Engineering for Atlassian Cloud Storage, where he leads the geo-distributed teams that build and operate the planet-scale storage and search platform powering Atlassian’s Cloud. His work focuses on delivering scalable, secure, and reliable services that let Atlassian’s 300 000-plus customers find, share and collaborate on content every day.
Fernando draws on more than two decades of experience in distributed systems and platform engineering. Prior to Atlassian he has led engineering teams at Apple and Microsoft where he focused on large scale cloud services.
